Watermelon lemonade is a simple beverage and an excellent combination, perfect not only during the summer season but all year ’round.
4 cups juice of fresh watermelon
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
3 cups cold water
6 cups cubed ice
1/2 cup white sugar
- Combine the juice of fresh watermelon and lemon.
- Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Garnish with mint leaves or watermelon/lemon slice.
Add more sugar if needed. You can also serve this drink in a hollowed-out watermelon instead of a glass.

Make sure to have enough watermelon slices to make about 4 cups. Put the slices in a blender and puree until smooth. Use a fine-mesh sieve to strain the juice.
Squeeze the lemon and use the same fine-mesh sieve to strain.
Another technique if you don’t want to mix the sugar into the juice directly is to combine 1/2 cup of white sugar with 1/2 cup of water and bring to a boil. Use a saucepan over medium-high heat.
