Gooey Marshmallow S’mores
No camping or backyard barbecue is complete without S’mores. They are the perfect dessert not only when you are outdoors but also even if you are inside your home. Oh, I bet you are already starting to imagine those Graham crackers filled with melty chocolate and gooey marshmallows. They are awesome!
The truth is, S’mores can be made in several ways. You can make them on a grill, stove, microwave, and oven. Plus, there are a million ways to personalize them. You can utilize flavored chocolates as well as add nuts, jams, or dried fruits. It all depends on what you are craving for.
In the recipe below, though, I am going to share with you how to make the basic S’mores on a grill. But, no worries, I will also include how to make them using other cooking equipment.

Description
Honey Graham crackers, Hershey’s milk chocolate bar, and marshmallows…That’s all you need to make classic S’mores in your own kitchen!
Ingredients
1 Hershey’s milk chocolate bar (4.4 oz.)
8 sheets Honey Graham cracker
8 large marshmallows
Instructions
- Set the grill to medium-low heat.
- Half each cracker sheet crosswise.
- Break the chocolate bar into 8 pieces.
- Put a square of Graham cracker on a tin foil and top with a piece of chocolate. Put it on the edge of the grill, close enough to make it warm.
- Skewer a marshmallow using a metal skewer or long fork and hold over the heat (about 2 inches high). Turn occasionally and allow the marshmallow to puff and turn golden brown.
- Put the marshmallow on top of the chocolate and top with another piece of Graham cracker.
- Serve.
Notes
It is best to eat S’mores when they are still warm.

Other Ways to Make S’mores

Oven
Preheat oven to broil, arrange the Graham crackers on a sheet pan, and put a piece of chocolate on each. Add the marshmallow on top. Place the sheet pan about 6 inches below the top of the oven. Wait for the marshmallow to char and expand. Top with another piece of cracker and serve.

Microwave
Arrange the cracker halves on a plate, cover with the chocolate and top with marshmallows. Microwave for about 15 seconds. Top with the other half of Graham cracker and serve immediately.

Stove
Put the first halves of the Graham crackers on a plate and top with chocolate. Add the marshmallows. Use a skewer to hold the marshmallow over the flame. Put it back on top of the chocolate and top with the other half of the cracker.
