The chewy texture, as well as the sweetness of these bars, are because of the dates. The richness will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.
What are dates in the first place? To those of you who are not familiar with this fruit, it comes from the date palm tree, which is found in tropical regions of the world. If you look at the supermarkets, particularly those in Western countries, you will most likely see dried dates.
Aside from the sweetness of dates, they are loaded with nutrients, too. They are high in fiber, which is very beneficial for your digestive health as well as blood sugar control. Not only that, dates are also high in disease-fighting antioxidants that can help reduce the risk of various illnesses.
Dessert bars are perfect for weekend get-togethers as well as special occasions, and this Crispy Date Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting recipe will help you make award-winning crispy bars that will satisfy everybody’s sweet tooth.
