Crispy Date Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting

Crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside…That’s exactly what we are making today: Date Bars With Cream Cheese Frosting! How delicious!

Date bars may seem to be old-fashioned, but when compared to other dessert bars out there, they are far better. They are crispy, chewy, and filled with chopped dates and nuts. They are a delicious treat that you can make for your loved ones any day of the week or even during the holidays. They are a perfect present, too.

The chewy texture, as well as the sweetness of these bars, are because of the dates. The richness will surely satisfy your sweet tooth.

What are dates in the first place? To those of you who are not familiar with this fruit, it comes from the date palm tree, which is found in tropical regions of the world. If you look at the supermarkets, particularly those in Western countries, you will most likely see dried dates.

Aside from the sweetness of dates, they are loaded with nutrients, too. They are high in fiber, which is very beneficial for your digestive health as well as blood sugar control. Not only that, dates are also high in disease-fighting antioxidants that can help reduce the risk of various illnesses.
