Ingredients
1 lb. scallops
1 tbsp. butter (unsalted)
salt and pepper to taste
For the sauce:
2 tbsp. butter (unsalted)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 lemon (only the juice)
salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp. fresh parsley leaves (chopped)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter.
- Season scallops with salt and pepper.
- Add scallops to the skillet and cook each side for about 2 minutes or until golden brown and translucent in the center. Set aside.
- Make the sauce by melting 2 tablespoons of butter in the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and cook for 1 minute or until fragrant. Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper.
- Serve scallops with the lemon-butter sauce garnished with parsley.
Notes
Before cooking the scallops, you should remove the small side muscle and then rinse the scallops with cold water and pat dry.
