Are you surprised to see how easy it is to make a pumpkin pie? It really is. It’s all about the combination of the right ingredients, the amount of time it is baked, and, of course, how you garnish or top before serving. It is also good to serve on its own. Believe me, this is going to be the best pumpkin pie you’d ever have!
Can I Make My Own Crust?
Absolutely! Every pie starts with an excellent crust. Therefore, you have to ensure that you have a good one, especially when using something from the store. But if you want everything to be homemade then you can create your own pie crust by utilizing a mixture of shortening and butter. This will give you a buttery crust, which is also tender and flaky.
What to Top Pumpkin Pie With
When it comes to toppings, you have many options. Peanut brittle and whipped cream is a good combination. The same is true with rum whipped cream or brown sugar plus pecans. Caramel ice cream and baked apples are good, too.
I just told my wife we need to start making dishes together. I really like how you list out everything needed. This is on my to do list. I’ll let you know how it turns out.
