What Is a Slow Cooker?

With just a few spices or seasonings, you can have rotisserie chicken without turning your oven on. Thanks to a slow cooker! Just set it up and let it do the work!
whole chicken (innards removed)
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1 teaspoon each garlic powder, onion powder, and dried thyme
1/2 tablespoon each smoked paprika and chili powder
salt and pepper to taste
- Put aluminum foil on the bottom of the slow cooker. This should serve as the rack for the chicken.
- Combine all the ingredients and rub the chicken with the mixture.
- Put the chicken on top of the aluminum foil, cover the slow cooker, and set it on high for 4 hours. This should allow the slow cooker to reach an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees Fahrenheit.
Before rubbing the chicken with the spices, make sure that the innards are removed and it is dry inside and out. If you want to cook on low, it would take about 7 to 8 hours.
- Method: Slow Cooking
As a friendly reminder, though, be sure to check if the whole chicken will fit into your slow cooker. If you are still looking into buying one, you can choose from different options.
Also, you have to remember that as the chicken cooks, it produces water. It is crucial that you put a foil on the bottom of the equipment to keep it off. This way, your rotisserie chicken won’t be sitting on water. You can then make sure that it will get crispy.
With this slow cooker rotisserie chicken recipe, you can now enjoy your favorite food without the need to go to the store. The equipment used is really incredible. You can expect a crispy and flavorful chicken for dinner. You can also make steamed veggies to serve it with.
