There is no doubt that everybody will love this traditional meatloaf recipe. With ground beef and the sweet and tangy glaze topping, it will be served right in the comfort of your home, restaurant-style.
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 c. each milk and dried bread crumbs
1 onion (chopped)
1 large egg
2 tbsp. each brown sugar and mustard
1/3 c. ketchup
salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Combine the beef with egg, bread crumbs, onion, and milk in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
- Grease a 5X9-inch loaf pan. Or, if you want, you can also form the mixture into a loaf in a 9X13-inch baking dish (lightly greased).
- Combine brown sugar with ketchup and mustard in a small bowl, and then mix well. Pour over the meatloaf.
- Bake for about an hour.
You can also use cracker crumbs.
