Description

This Homemade Fried Ice Cream recipe is made from vanilla ice cream, cornflake crumbs, and ground cinnamon. Top it with honey and whipped topping or chocolate drizzle, and you will have a delicious and restaurant-style treat!

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream (softened)

3 c. crushed cornflakes

4 tsp. ground cinnamon

oil for deep-frying

honey and whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Arrange 9 scoops of vanilla ice cream on a baking sheet and freeze for about 1 hour or until firm. The longer, the better.
  2. Combine ground cinnamon and cornflake crumbs in a shallow bowl and then roll ice cream balls in the mixture. Put each ball back to the baking sheet and freeze overnight.
  3. Heat oil in an electric skillet. Fry ice cream balls one at a time for about 10 seconds. Put in chilled bowls or serving plate and serve immediately.
  4. If desired, you can top each ice cream ball with honey and whipped topping before serving.

Notes

You can drizzle each ice cream ball with chocolate too if you want.
