Description
With these fabulous Energy Granola Bars, there is no more need for you to turn to junk food when you are hungry in between meals. They are loaded with nutrients, and they can keep you energized.
Ingredients

2 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. wheat germ
3/4 tsp. cinnamon (ground)
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. raisins
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. each honey and vegetable oil
1 large egg (beaten)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Grease a baking pan (size: 9X13 inch).
- Combine brown sugar, oats, cinnamon, wheat germ, raisins, flour, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl.
- Make a well in the middle of the mixture and pour in the vanilla, beaten egg, honey, and oil. Mix well.
- Put the mixture evenly on the greased pan.
- Bake for about 35 minutes or until the edges of the bars turn golden brown.
- Cool for 5 minutes and slice into smaller bars while warm.
Notes
When mixing the oat mixture with the liquid ingredients, you can use your hands. Also, be sure to cut the bars while they are still warm. If they completely cooled off, it will be hard to cut them.
