Description

You don’t need to have a fancy snack to be healthy. As simple as homemade refrigerator pickles can do the trick.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound Persian cucumbers

3 cloves garlic (crushed)

2 sprigs fresh dills

3/4 cup white vinegar

1 cup of water

1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Trim ends of the cucumbers. You can leave them just like that or you may also opt to slice them into spears.
  2. Arrange them in a glass jar along with the garlic and dills.
  3. Combine water, salt, and vinegar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  4. Once the salt is fully dissolved, remove from heat.
  5. Pour over the cucumbers in the jar.
  6. Wait until the brine has cooled off completely. Refrigerate.

Notes

After 2 hours in the fridge, you can eat your pickles. But take note that the longer they are soaked in water, the better they’d taste.
